At MCF Group, our journey began in Tuticorin in 1974 with a single vision: to harness the rich bounty of the sea. Starting with MCF Fishing Boat, we pioneered fish trawling, laying the foundation for what would become a diversified and leading enterprise in South India. Under the visionary leadership of MD Arputharaj, and with the strategic direction of Mr. Alexander Fernando, General Manager – International Business, MCF Group has expanded its horizons while staying rooted in its founding values of integrity, innovation, and excellence.
Our roots in the seafood industry deepened in 1991 with the launch of MCF Sea Food, quickly establishing us as a trusted wholesale distributor of a wide array of seafood varieties. By 1997, our ambition led us beyond local waters, as we successfully entered the bustling Kerala Fish Market and expanded our distribution across other states.
Innovation continued to drive us. In 2009, we established our Sea Food Peeling Shed in Tuticorin, a pivotal step that allowed us to clean and process seafood to exacting standards, ready for freezing and export worldwide. Recognizing the critical need for quality ice in the fishing industry, we proudly opened our first MCF Ice Factory in 2012. The overwhelming demand from both local and inter-state fish markets quickly led to the addition of our second and third ice factories by 2013 & 2014, significantly boosting our production to 1500 ice bars per day.
The year 2020 marked a significant diversification with the inception of MCF Enterprises. This strategic move transformed us into the No.1 Super Stockist across Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, and Tenkasi districts. We're proud to be the preferred partner for global and national giants like Tata, The Coke Company, Mayora India Pvt. Ltd., EID Parry India Ltd., Mars India Pvt. Ltd., Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd., Orion, Dodla Dairy Ltd., Unibic Foods India Pvt. Ltd., and other leading MNC companies, efficiently managing both their main and sub-product lines with unmatched expertise.
Looking ahead to 2025, our commitment to global trade is stronger than ever. Pushpam Agencies, our latest venture, has secured the crucial Importer Exporter Code (IEC) from DGFT India, empowering us to seamlessly engage in international trade. We've embarked on the exciting journey of exporting agro products such as rice, pulses, millets, and other staples worldwide, alongside a diverse range of spices and herbal products. To solidify our global presence, we are actively setting up an export office for Pushpam Agencies in Dubai, a strategic hub to manage and optimize our international operations.

Our Journey Through the Years
1974 - Humble Beginnings in Fisheries
MCF Group began operations in Tuticorin with traditional fishing boats, laying the foundation for a long-term vision in seafood and exports.
1991 - Seafood Wholesale Distribution
MCF Sea Foods was officially established to serve as a wholesale distributor of diverse seafood products across Indian coastal markets.
1997 - Expansion into Kerala Market
We extended our distribution network into Kerala and neighboring states, growing our regional presence in the seafood trade.
2000 - First Export Shipment
Our first international seafood shipment was successfully exported to Southeast Asia, initiating our global trade footprint.
2009 - Seafood Processing Plant
We launched a dedicated seafood peeling and processing unit in Tuticorin, enhancing our hygiene standards and global readiness.
2012 - First Ice Factory Established
To support growing cold chain needs, we inaugurated our first ice factory in Tuticorin, ensuring uninterrupted seafood preservation.
2013–2014 - Expanded Ice Manufacturing
We built two more high-capacity ice factories, meeting rising demand from interstate fish markets with a daily capacity of 1500 ice bars.
2020 - Entered FMCG Super Stockist Market
MCF Enterprises has emerged as the top super stockist for renowned brands like TATA, Coke, Mars, EID Parry India Ltd., and other leading MNC companies across Southern Tamil Nadu.
2023 - Digital Transformation
We adopted real-time supply chain systems, customer communication tools, and traceability software to modernize operations.
2025 - Launch of Pushpam Agencies
Pushpam Agencies was founded as our dedicated export division, offering rice, millets, spices, herbal products, and more to global buyers.
2025 - Dubai Office in Progress
We began establishing our international office in Dubai to support Middle East operations and provide direct support to overseas clients.
